Hvar Stonehouse sits on a quiet hillside five minutes above Hvar Town, in a row of restored Dalmatian farmhouses that have looked out over the same water for centuries. The original stone walls are intact; everything inside them is new.
Four bedrooms across two floors, a covered terrace where most meals happen, and a heated pool oriented to the sunset. From the upper terrace, you can see the line of the harbour and, on a clear evening, the lights of Vis on the horizon.
The Pool
Heated, salt-treated, oriented west toward the open Adriatic. Loungers in linen, a low stone wall as a separator, and nothing between you and the sea but a single line of cypress.
Most guests describe it as the reason they came back. We agree.
The Interiors
Exposed stone walls, lime-washed plaster, oak floors, and beams reclaimed from the original roof. Beds in local linen. Bathrooms in travertine.
No clutter, no surprises. Air conditioning everywhere, fast WiFi, and enough kitchen to host eight without anyone in each other's way.
The Outside
Three terraced levels of garden, fifteen olive trees, and a small herb plot. The walk down to the harbour takes ten minutes; the walk back, slightly longer.
